Getting here
As you arrive in Thames, the gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula, set your course northward. Delight in the scenic journey along Highway 25 until you reach the charming town of Coromandel.
Upon entering Coromandel Town, veer right at the roundabout and proceed along Kapanga Road for a 5-minute drive until you reach Buffalo Road.
Ascend Buffalo Road, passing the cemetery on your left and the Stamper Battery on your right. Follow the signs for Buffalo Lodge onto the gravel road. Continue along this path until you reach a 3-way juncture. Here, take a gentle right, following the signs for Buffalo Lodge, and cross a small ford over the stream.
Drive upward, passing the orchard on your right, and onto the concrete strips until you arrive at the driveway. Choose a parking space marked with a 'P' sign on the left of the lodge or feel free to park in the carport under the house, keeping in mind it's a snug fit, and reversing out requires a bit of finesse.
