Nestled in a lush five-acre bush setting on a hillside, it offers a stunning view of the islands of the Hauraki Gulf.

 

Only two and a half kilometres north of Coromandel town, this modern, architect-designed pole house not only provides quality accommodation, it is also an art gallery, exhibiting paintings by owner Evelyne Siegrist.

The lodge offers a tranquil sanctuary where you can observe native birdlife, and admire the beautiful native bush, sea views and magical sunsets.

 

The lodge has four bedrooms, three of which have their own sun deck. Each has its own ensuite.

Or you can do the round trip to Whitianga, taking in Hot Water beach, Cathedral Cove and New Chums beach on the way. 

 

Or you can just chill out in Coromandel Town and enjoy our local restaurants and attractions like the world famous Driving Creek Railway and Pottery, the Gold Stamper Battery, the Waterworks, art and craft galleries, or stroll through some of our beautiful gardens.

Enjoy a luxury breakfast at buffalo lodge in a spacious dining room with magnificent views over the Coromandel hills.

 

Help yourself to home-made jams and marmalade, home-made muesli, yoghurt and freshly baked croissants. Fresh free-range eggs may be available when Evelyne's pet hens oblige.

 

Even the coffee is freshly roasted in-house.

 

Evelyne can also supply gluten-free breakfasts on request.

 

For lunch and dinner, Coromandel Town has some excellent restaurants that cater for a wide range of tastes and budgets.
